a night outside the town...time to eat

a night out with the kugimiyas. an incredible night out with amazing food and sake. this place is called saumon kyoraisou (i think?) and is nestled in a forest of beautiful bamboo. perfect landscaping, asian architecture and perfect company made this night out an experience.

after we took off our shoes we were escorted to our seats by a host where each dish was given an explanation. where is came from, how it was made and more...

i very seldom get impressed before we even sit down but something told me we were in for a treat.

Japan : the rise of rising sun

Finally we are in Japan...ok, we've been here for almost 2 weeks but because we've been wandering around, we are finally updating the blog. in other words, procrastination. ha ha. the pics are yuko's aunt's house where we are staying. she has multi-family house and we live on the second floor. jamie sleeps on a bed, yuko sleeps on the floor on a futon. its very old(retro) japanese style house...a bit cold but otherwise comfy.

Malaysia

Finally a place where we both don't have to worry about getting ripped off or arrange everything by ourselves. Masliza picked us at the airport and has been showing us arond. We went to trekking in the Malaysian jungle, water tubing down river and soaked ourselves in the natural hotspring at night with prayer echoing from a mosque as bg music...very surreal. Tomorrow we'll finally leave to Japan!

koh chang waterfall

in this small island of koh chang, we went to one of the waterfall. lots of thai go there for a swim, very refreshing.

Lantau Island : Hong Kong

A little mix up. These are pics from Lantau Island in HK before we left for Thailand. We thought we were looking at historical statue of buddah but it turns out the buddha was built in 1989(?). That's HK for you.
